Nothing is more important than keeping your children safe. That is why Michel made risers on the stairs for his daughter, so that she can use the stairs safely without falling. To realize this DIY project, Michel ordered Multiplex Interieur Poplar Gegrond. This was sawn for him down to the millimeter. Now he can teach his daughter to climb stairs safely!
Description by Michel
I have fitted the stairs to the attic with risers so that our 2.5 year old daughter can learn to use the stairs without the dangers of an open staircase.
Work description: how did you realize your project
I went through the following steps:
- All Stair steps measured in height and width and numbered.
- Ordered the risers via TOSIZE.es who also supplies the risers numbered. Ideal!
- The stairs were completely cleared of dust.
- Started at the top. The bumper tine is drilled through at the bottom on the end side and marked at the top. These were then pre-drilled.
- Polymer sealant on both sides to prevent cracking and strengthening.
- Holes galvanized for a sleek finish after finishing and the risers mounted. This is repeated for all steps.
Final size: What are the outside dimensions?
Spiral staircase with 12 steps.
