Description
While we only planned to replace the floor, our old kitchen turned out to be completely finished. So I decided to replace it and make the worktop myself. Iroko was chosen because of its appearance and stable properties.
Work description: how did you realize your project
After leveling the floor under the old kitchen, installing the new kitchen cabinets Sweden 😉 assembled, but purchased without worktop and drawer fronts. The plan was to make them all yourself.
The OPMAATZAGEN.nl worktop arrived exactly to size. I left it for a few days until I could clean out the sink. Then put the leaf in the oil. Because it is quite greasy in itself, I used uncooked linseed oil. It gives it a nice deep shine, you don't smell anything and it takes no effort at all to apply a few times.
Then degreased where necessary, mounted the top and sink.
Remove the drawer fronts sawn a furniture panel and measured and pre-drilled holes based on a purchased front. Paste perfectly after painting (thanks to my wife).
Handles come from the hardware store.
I made a nice matching cutting board from the piece of wood that I saw out for the sink.

I am very happy with the result.
