Description

We made a 6 meter long bench in the kitchen. We use it as a seating area at the dining table, as a desk/play table for our children and there is storage space in the cupboards under the sofa. The oak top is almost 6 meters long (consisting of three pieces) and 40 mm thick.

Work description: how did you realize your project

As a substructure we have IKEA best TV cabinets used. These have been slightly raised by a (white painted) trellis frame. We placed IKEA cupboards on top of this (and reinforced it on the inside because of the heavy top that will be placed on it). We impregnated the oak top with extra matte lacquer and attached the three parts on top of the cabinets to create a long seat. We have left space between the cabinets, so that it can also serve as a gaming table in addition to a sofa.

46.0 cm deep, almost 6 meters long, 4.0 cm thick
